An Interim Solution

In today's market, it's often difficult to fill permanent positions quickly, creating the risk of falling behind, not just in day-to-day activities, but also potentially delaying the start or completion of improvement projects.  This is obviously not desirable, but it can be solved by hiring a professional who is immediately operational and needs only a word to move forward.

Sometimes the lack of time, knowledge, and/or experience simply means that potential opportunities or threats are not (timely) recognized.  Is the current customs structure still suitable for the company?  In these situations, it's wise to hire a professional with a fresh perspective.

Frequently, it's said that an interim solution is an expensive one, but is it really?  Consider the impact on your other employees who experience extra workload when they have to take over the tasks of, for example, a colleague who is out sick, or due to the current labor market shortage, it takes 5 to 6 months before a vacancy is filled.  How much does it cost to postpone a project? And what is costly considering you're adding a flexible layer to your organization, which you can quickly scale up as needed but also scale down when things are a bit quieter?

History

BeCleared is a young company founded in 2023 by Janine Vossen. Her passion for Customs began in 2007 when, after completing her studies in Dutch law at Radboud University in Nijmegen, she started working as a Customs consultant at Deloitte. Over the following years, she advised many clients in the area of Customs and International trade. First for Deloitte and later for PwC. During these 9 years, she also earned a post-master's in Customs at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and participated in various trainings and courses in the customs field.

In 2016, she made the switch to the corporate world. She began working in the Trade Compliance and later Trade Operations team of Medtronic. Medtronic is one of the world's largest companies in the medical technology field. Through innovation and collaboration, Medtronic helps to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend lives. Medtronic operates in more than 150 countries. For 7 years, she enjoyed various customs roles there.

However, in 2023, it was time for something new. She started her own business, BeCleared B.V.
